Volunteer Opportunities

Would you like to get involved in your community?  The City of Scandia is always seeking volunteers throughout the year.  There are a variety of volunteer opportunities for residents looking to give back to their community.  Many activities and projects would not be a success without the help of our volunteers.


The City's volunteer opportunities include:




Painting and Staining

Park and Monument Entrances

City Hall Entrance/City Entrance Signs

Light Pole Arrangements

advertisements, flags, holidaysBalance, ability to climb a ladder, two persons required


City Hall/Lighted Ball Field

maintain surfaces in playground areasUse hand sprayers with salt, pull weeds, rake, shovel
Wind in the Pines


signs and general maintenance; better trail markers;

develop a species identification chart for the park

Knowledge of botany or biology, GIS and GPS, computer skills


Ball Fields
